It's that time of year again... Gasparilla! February 7th Tampa will be invaded by pirates and the locals will be overcome by grog (alcohol for ye laymen).
If you've never been to Gasparilla, it's well worth spending a day drinking and screaming for beads. If you've never heard of Gasparilla, you need to plan a trip here next year around the beginning of February. You'll get to see a full size pirate ship sail into Tampa and bare witness to one heck of a party.
The invasion takes place between 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. with the Parade of Pirates taking over Bayshore from 2 p.m. until around 5:30 p.m.. The party will continue on long into the night.
